Dallas-Based Roofers Who Don't Disappear
Every spring, Dallas gets hammered by hail. And every spring, storm chasers show up — out-of-state crews knocking on doors, promising free roofs, doing the cheapest possible work and leaving town before the first leak shows up. We've been watching this happen for years. We built this company to be the opposite of that.
The Storm Chaser Problem in Dallas
Dallas sits right in the heart of Hail Alley. The National Weather Service logs more hail events in the DFW metroplex than almost anywhere else in the country. Big storms roll through between March and June — sometimes multiple times per season. In 2023 alone, Dallas County had over $2 billion in insured hail damage.
That kind of money attracts people. Within 48 hours of a major hail event, trucks with out-of-state plates start appearing in neighborhoods. Crews from Florida, Tennessee, Indiana — places that don't even get hail — show up knocking on doors. They offer "free" roof inspections. They promise to handle your insurance claim. They tell you they'll waive your deductible (which is insurance fraud, by the way). They do the cheapest possible job using the cheapest materials, collect the insurance check and leave.
Six months later, the roof leaks. You call the number on the business card. It's disconnected. The company is gone. They're in another state chasing the next storm. You're stuck paying out of pocket for repairs on a roof that was supposed to be new.
We started this company because Dallas homeowners deserve better than that. A roofer should be someone you can call two years from now and get an answer. Someone whose crew actually lives in the city they're working in. Someone with a real license, real insurance and a real address.
How We Operate
Dallas Based, Year-Round
Our crew lives in the DFW area. We work here year-round — not just during hail season. When you need warranty work 3 years from now, we'll still be at the same address. We're not going anywhere because this is our home too.
Licensed and Insured
Texas contractor license. General liability insurance. Workers' compensation on every crew member. We pull permits through the City of Dallas building department and pass inspections. Ask the storm chaser for the same documentation — see what happens.
Manufacturer Certified
GAF Master Elite, Owens Corning Preferred and CertainTeed SELECT certified. That means manufacturer-backed warranties up to 50 years on materials and workmanship. Storm chasers can't offer this — manufacturers won't certify fly-by-night operations without a local track record.
Insurance Claim Experts
We've handled hundreds of insurance claims across Dallas County, Collin County and Tarrant County. We know how adjusters think, what they miss and which supplement items get approved on the first try. We handle inspections, adjuster meetings and paperwork so you don't have to fight your insurance company alone.
What We Know About Dallas Roofs
Dallas weather destroys roofs in specific ways. The 100-degree summers bake shingles from above while the decking radiates heat from below. UV exposure breaks down the asphalt binder in shingles faster here than in northern states. Then winter brings ice storms — the February 2021 freeze caused more roof damage in North Texas than some hail events.
Between the heat cycles, the hail and the occasional ice, most Dallas roofs last 15 to 20 years instead of the 25 to 30 that manufacturers advertise. That's not a defect — that's Dallas weather being Dallas weather. We know this because we've been looking at it for years. We know which shingles hold up best in this climate (Class 4 impact-resistant, every time). We know which underlayment handles the heat cycling. We know which ventilation systems actually reduce attic temperatures instead of just looking good on paper.
That local knowledge makes a real difference in how long your roof lasts. A crew from out of state installs the same way they would in Ohio. We install for Dallas.
